It’s that time of the year again where the fittest of the fittest prepare to hit the road to take part in the ultimate test of endurance during Cape Town’s Ultra Marathon!
But this isn’t any ordinary marathon, The Old Mutal Two Oceans Marathon is one of the world’s most beautiful sporting events with competitors pushing their bodies to the limit as they pass breath-taking views of the scenic Cape Peninsula.
This 56-km (I know we’re out of breath just thinking about it!) will take place on Easter Saturday, 15 April 2017 in Cape Town. The 48th consecutive Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon will remain on the traditional route via Chapman’s Peak, Hout Bay and Constantia Nek.
There will also be a 21-km half marathon taking place on this day as well as various associated trail and fun runs, making sure that the Two Oceans races cater to all types of runners at all levels.
And if taking part in the physical side to the races isn’t really your thing, you can always come along to watch the others getting all sweaty as you casually enjoy a nice refreshing ice-cream on the side of the road!
