It might have taken a pandemic, but drive-in culture has made a comeback in Cape Town. For some, a drive-in cinema used to be something that only their parents (or grandparents!) would have spoken about when taking a trip down memory lane. But now, EVERYONE gets to enjoy this awesome blast from the past experience. Simply park off, cuddle up and enjoy a ridiculously romantic and nostalgic evening out. With COVID-friendly safety regulations in place to allowing movie-goers the opportunity to have some much-needed fun in a safe and secure space.

Locations include:

Rondebosch – In the leafy southern suburbs lie the luscious lawns of Vredenhof Sports Fields, part of Groote Schuur High School. Tucked neatly in the shallow valley, this venue is protected by trees all around and has a cosy, warm feel and stunning mountain views!

Constantia – Situated in the luscious Constantia Valley is the Cape Academy of Maths, Science & Technology.

Gardens (closest venue to never@home) – Head to Cape Town High School along Hatfield Road, situated at the foot of Table Mountain with incredible views – the perfect backdrop to your movie!
