A multi-platinum selling and award winning acapella group, The Soil, whose music the trio best describes as ‘Kasi Soul’ strives to intensify their voices to deliver what can be described as a melodic and harmonious messages to uplift the listeners and healing the souls of those who relate all around the world. And today,they’re featuring as the South African artists that the world can’t get enough of and hopefully you too in our Music Monday blog post.

Consisting of brothers, Ntsika Ngxanga and Luphindo Ngxanga and joined by Soil Sister,Buhlebendalo Mda, The Soil’s musical style is manifested in its rhythmic vocal bass line, continuous beat boxing and the remaining voices which add to the harmonic and polyphonic enhancement. Equivalent and up to the challenge, the group members take shots in solo vocal presentation to display their most attractive version of the musical verses embedded in each song. Some of their hits that they’ve had the pleasure and honour of performing at world stages include New York’s Apollo Theatre at the at the Africa Now Festival, Scotland’s prestigious White Nights of St. Petersburg International Music Festival and in 2015 performed for the Queen of England herself at the Commonwealth Day celebrations.

Their latest offering, Nostalgic Moments is already a double-platinum record and it’s not stopping anytime soon, a triple platinum status on the album perhaps? We’ll cross fingers.
