“It’s like smooshing Flight of the Conchords with Goldfish then sprinkling a teeny ammount of Die Antwoord (only the tasteful side of them) ontop.” Goodluck’s Ben Peters said about this week;s artists that we’re featuring on Music Monday. Clem Carr and David Scott are the duo that make up the live electronic and SAMA (South African Music Awards) nominated group from Cape Town called The Kiffness.

Achieving great success and breaking through in 2013, the duo collaborated with South African artist Matthew Gold to release a track entitled Where Are You Going that would go on to be rated as one of the top 100 songs of 2013 in South Africa based on radio play and sales, and was included in the Now 65 compilation CD in 2013 and also reaching #2 at 5FM’s Top 40. The duo seem to not be losing their pace, as in 2014, they were included in the iTunes list “New Artists for 2014″ to watch out for, and in 2015, they are one to watch.

They were one of the few artists to open up for international sensation, Carly Rae Jepsen when she toured South Africa recently and amazing reviews were had about the band. Over the years, they’ve also had the opportunity to perform at some of South Africa’s most credible and important festivals such as OppiKoppi, Rocking the Daisies, Splashy Fen & Park Acoustics just to name a few.

Here’s the single that got South Africa and the world knowing who The Kiffness are, Where Are You Going feat Matthew Gold.
