The Galileo Open Air Cinema sets up on a few different venues but the one we are mostly excited about is the one that happens right under never@home’s nose. Situated on the Croquet Lawn above Ulundi parking lot at the V&A Waterfront in the Mother city, we think the location is perfect. Whether you take a group of buddies or go solo, there are always plenty of old school movies for you to put your feet up and enjoy. Throw in popcorn, picnics and a stunning location, and we think these screenings definitely outdo a regular four-walled theatre.

The doors will be open from 6pm. We recommend getting there early to secure a comfy spot (it can get busy). Then the movie will typically start somewhere between 7:30pm and 8:15pm. Backrests and blankets are available for hire at the venue. To ensure a comfortable movie we think that purchasing a backrest is is a must. After all you will be relaxing in the same spot for quite some time.

There is always a selection of eats from renowned vendors and you can rest assure that there will be popcorn. Watching a movie without munching away on popcorn is basically a sin, right? The on site bar is also on hand to quench any thirst (beer and wine are available). But why not save a few bucks and bring your own – As this venue allows you to, so why not take advantage?!
