If you’re not at the Randy Warthog Braai Night every Wednesdays with amazing food being serviced with an exceptional atmosphere, then the Cape Town Comedy Club which was formerly known as the Jou Ma Se Comedy Club and changed officially on 25 February 2015 is the place to be to be for laughter in the mother city. The club was co-founded by comedian Kurt Schoonraad and has been a formidable brand since its inception in 2005 and as part of the Cape Town Festival, as a tongue in cheek “Pop up Comedy Club” which to this day, the club is still standing.
The home to some of Cape Town and South Africa’s best comics, the Cape Town Comedy Club has also hosted some of the world’s best comedians as well, from the likes of Michael Mittermeier (Germany), Christopher Titus (US), Babben Larsson (Sweden) and Dana Alexander (UK) just to name a few, and the growth and popularity of the club is increasing per successful evening of hosting.
