The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has confirmed that the City of Cape Town will host the Nedbank Cup final on Saturday, May 19.
Cape Town Stadium is one of the stadiums built for the 2010 Soccer World Cup and the structure of the stadium provides an epic experience for spectators.
Having been designed with a roof that resembles a bicycle wheel, the stadium is flanked by Table Mountain, Robben Island as well as the Atlantic Ocean, giving it a rather dramatic setting. The announcement of the Nedbank Cup final venue marks the official countdown to the much-anticipated final.
“Cape Town football supporters have been asking for an opportunity to watch a cup final in their backyard for some time now and we are excited to bring a major cup final to Cape Town Stadium,” the PSL acting Chief Executive, Mato Madlala said. – Content by: Sport 24
